Surfrider (formerly the Wacky Jacky) was extensively renovated. The hull was in great shape, no need for repair or repainting, yet the house was filled with air bubbles and spots of delamination. Surfrider’s house was repaired and repainted, new stripes, hull had new boot stripe painted, raised railings with added bars for Coast Guard regulations approval, added pole holders all around, added boarding doors port and starboard, reinforced all decks with three layers of fiberglass roving, replaced rotten aft deck with new foam cored deck with stiffeners, gel-coated and non-skid all decks, all windows replaced by Wayne Westbee (the glass guy for Delta boats), painted and install new radar arch (owner provided), new exhaust lines, replaced all shaft struts and cutlass bearings, built and installed new bar skeg, replaced wood guards with UHMW guards and replaced the pvc sheer cap with aluminum. The Interior had most of the laminate replace, new overhead panels with white laminate, new sink cabinet with faucet and sink replaced, new sink in head, new toilets installed in both heads, replaced door faces, new table top laminate, lower bunks in focs’le pushed back for more foot room, re-carpet walls & overhead in focs’le, completely re-wire boat, replace steering system and move helm to starboard side of boat with new helm seat added, new surface on console with new laminate, new electrical panels on face of console, all new electronics, re-work steps to Pilot House and trim all steps, all new floor covering, repaint all bilges and engine room, all new upholstery.
